Chemistry degree from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich;
PhD in synthetic organic chemistry completed in 1974;
Postdoctoral work undertaken (on a NATO scholarship) at Iowa State University, USA, and at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Regensburg;
Acquired several years’ experience in a large international company in the field of development and production of pharmaceuticals;
Has been practising intellectual property law at Reitstötter Kinzebach since 1981.
Conduct of litigation proceedings, such as opposition, nullity and infringement proceedings, before the European Patent Office, the Federal Patent Court, the Federal Court of Justice and national civil courts. Invalidity and infringement opinions, particularly in the technical fields of pharmaceuticals, plant protection and construction chemicals.
Specialises in the field of small molecule drugs, including special drug forms such as polymorphs and enantiomers, and supplementary protection certificates, having regard to aspects relevant for regulatory approval.
